Baylor completely shut down Stanford on Saturday, allowing just 48 points to the Cardinal in an 86-48 blowout. Stanford scored 0.74 points per possession against the Bears, another disappointing offensive performance on the year. Jerod Haase’s squad also put up 62 points on 60 possessions vs. Tarleton, 72 points on 72 possessions vs. Santa Clara and 74 points on 73 possessions vs. Valpo.
Sunday’s Bracketology Watch
The Villanova-Purdue title game in the Hall of Fame Tip-Off will provide a rare, top-10 opportunity on a neutral floor that would do wonders for a tournament resume. With challenging roads ahead, the winner of Sunday’s matchup will leave with a pair of top-20 wins away from home after the tourney, something that will carry plenty of weight throughout the season.
