NEWCOMER OF THE YEAR:
Evan Mobley, USC

There are three players who should make strong cases for freshman of the year, but nobody will have a bigger role on their team than Evan Mobley. He is the clear cut top option on a roster filled with newcomers, and should make a strong case for his spot as a Top 5 pick in the 2021 NBA Draft. It would be a surprise if Mobley isn’t the frontrunner for the award, and would likely mean a rough season for the Trojans.
