Check out our tracker of women’s basketball foreign tours taking place this summer.
As the transfer portal action cools down across the women’s basketball landscape, several programs have turned their attention to the offseason calendar. Included in the noteworthy summer events for many teams across the country are foreign tour trips, giving both new and returning players a chance to build experience through practices and exhibitions against global competition.
The NCAA allows basketball teams to take an international trip every four years. Many programs flock to Europe while Canada also hosts a decent share of teams every summer.
“These foreign tours are really beneficial in a lot of ways,” UConn head coach Geno Auriemma said about the program’s trip to Europe. “From a basketball standpoint, we get to play some really good, experienced teams. Off the court, the team gets to experience other cultures and see parts of the world they may never have seen otherwise.”
Below, we are keeping tabs on every women’s basketball program taking a foreign tour this summer. This page will be regularly updated with changes and additions.
