Over the past five years, the Big West Conference has become one of the most intriguing conferences in the country when it comes to possible low-seed upsets in the NCAA Tournament. With four teams sporting a positive adjusted efficiency margin in KenPom right now, this year shouldn’t be any different.

Obviously, Joe Pasternack’s UC Santa Barbara Gauchos will be the popular pick to win the conference auto-bid; however, nobody should count out the constant contender in UC Irvine or the surprising UC Riverside Highlanders. If you haven’t watched a single game of Big West basketball this year, now is the time to remedy that before the Big Dance.
