Thursday’s Disaster Index

Nevada whiffed on a chance for a massive rebound victory at San Francisco Thursday night, holding a 43-27 advantage with two minutes left in the first half. The Wolf Pack were outscored by 19 points the rest of the way en route to a 73-70 defeat, falling to 1-3 on the season. Already with losses to USF, Santa Clara and San Diego and a nonconference schedule with few resume-boosting opportunities, Nevada’s at-large hopes are all but lost just four games into the season.

After James Madison, George Madison’s challenging schedule continues with games against Washington, Nevada, South Dakota State, Old Dominion, Navy and Georgia, all of which stand among the top 180 teams in KenPom.
