CBS Sports’ Jon Rothstein reported that the 16-team field for the 2022 Phil Knight Invitational PK85 is tentatively set.
Following 2017’s PK80, the second 16-team iteration of the event will be one of the premier college basketball tournaments of the 2022-23 season.

What is the Phil Knight Invitational?
PK85, also known as the Phil Knight Invitational, is a 16-team college basketball tournament celebrating the 85th birthday of Nike co-founder Phil Knight.
When is PK85?
The schedule for the 2022 Phil Knight Invitational remains unofficial. However, the tournament is scheduled to take place November 2022.
The PK80 tournament took place during Thanksgiving weekend of 2017, with games played on Thursday, Friday and Sunday. For 2022, those dates would be November 24-25, 27.

PK85 will be played in Portland, Oregon. Moda Center, home of the Portland Trailblazers, and Veterans Memorial Coliseum, home of the junior hockey team Portland Winterhawks, will host the event. Both venues were used to stage PK80.

Duke, North Carolina, UConn, Michigan State, Florida, Gonzaga, Oregon, Portland and Portland State are returning to the Phil Knight Invitational field after participating in the PK80.
The 2022 Phil Knight Invitational is a 16-team field separated into two 8-team brackets. Each team will play three games during the Portland tournament. The bracket for the Phil Knight Invitational has yet to be released.
