Western Kentucky and Charles Bassey look to capture the C-USA crown and enter March Madness as a trendy upset choice.
Without discrediting the rest of the tournament field, it’s safe to say all eyes are on Charles Bassey and the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers in the Conference USA tournament.
Bassey, who has enjoyed an All-American-esque year as the WKU big man, would be appointment March Madness television if WKU can clinch the CUSA automatic bid or someone slide into the field as an at-large. But while Rick Stansbury’s group demands the bulk of the league’s attention, several formidable contenders could make things interesting.
