Will the Cougars roll through the South, or can the likes of Marquette, Kentucky or Duke knock off No. 1 seed Houston?
Houston has been projected to be the top seed in the NCAA Tournament’s South Region for several weeks now, but the selection committee stocked this region full of brand names to accompany the Cougars. Duke and Kentucky serve as potential landmines down the road, yet those two are far from the most accomplished teams in this region.
The South boasts five teams from power leagues that played in their conference tournament championship games and a slew of double-digit seeds that have high level wins on their resume. How will everything shake out in the South? Let’s dive into some projections, identify the top players and storylines to watch and so much more.
